General Information

Fire-Dex USAR gear provides superior comfort and fit in an ensemble made of proven, high-quality materials. Fire-Dex USAR is dual-certified as compliant to NFPA Standard 1951 and NFPA Standard 1999, current editions by Underwriters Laboratories.

Several notable differences occur between the two standards: the USAR standard - NFPA 1951 requires an element of flame resistance. As a result, Fire-Dex offers our Search & Rescue Gear in proven flame resistant fabrics: NOMEX and Millenia SR. The moisture barrier in Fire-Dex USAR Gear is CROSSTECH SR, which is set upon a flame-resistant substrate to meet this standard. NFPA 1951 also requires a patterned reflective and flourescent trim, a minimum of 2” in width.

Compliant to NFPA 1999 and 1951, current edition, Fire-Dex Search and Rescue gear provides the protection you need...at the scene of the battle.
